yoga for the trying to conceive body and soul

Fertility Yoga - my approach
My unique approach to fertility yoga starts with this: you are already beyond enough.
There is only very limited peer reviewed, scientific research on how yoga can support fertility which is why you won’t finding me saying things like it ‘improves your egg quality’, or bold claims of my courses increasing pregnancy rates. I do think yoga can be really helpful if you are trying to conceive though. Here’s some of the reasons why..
Not getting pregnant can be stressful, right down to our bones. Yoga, as a package of connecting with the breath and mindful movement can support us to move out of fight and flight states and open doors to places of rest/digest. I’m not suggesting quick fixes here but my sessions are a safe and gentle place to inhale/exhale, connect with the body and find solace and release.
The monthly cycle of hope/grief/despair/hope can be gruelling. We can easily become disconnected from (or even hostile towards) our bodies as we navigate the rollercoaster. Yoga can give us a place to reconnect with our physical and emotional selves, breathe into them, move them and love them. The union of body, mind and breath - in communities of people who deeply understand your experience - is powerful. The ripple effects can include better sleep, a feeling of space and lightness within the body, take away tools to soothe and much more.
We explore postures that work into the hips and pelvis and send them - and our wombs - loving attention. There is always some restorative rest and guided relaxation. We can create space in these places and get them moving. Yoga for fertility support can be tailored to your cycle and throughout treatment (where gentle is the emphasis and regular dialogue between us is key).
“'I wish I could show you when you are lonely or in darkness the astonishing light of your own being.'

This might be for you if:
You’d like support with stress and anxiety
You’d like yoga that is appropriate for where you are if you are undergoing treatment (and in a 1:1 session this can be tailored to where you are in your monthly cycle upon request)
You’re interested in postures that tend to the pelvic bowl
You’re in need of better sleep
You’re open to an invitation to rest.
You’d like to connect who have a shared understanding.
It ‘might’ not be for you if;
You prefer a very strong and flow based yoga session.
You don’t really like, or feel drawn to yoga but wonder if Fertility Yoga is something you ‘should’ try to enhance your fertility.
But we could talk about both of these things if you’re on the fence!
